@EASTYJAZ34

It has a tremendous amount of power and I have no idea why or how but my bro was going to get rid of it and I decided to see if it had any life in it. So… Here I am lol

EASTYJAZ34 September 9, 2011 at 1:33 pm

@irishgk

Everyone’s asking for the song but I don’t know lol It was on a mix I was using back when I was DJing. I have long lost all my mixes, I might try to find it, should be on my laptop.

irishgk September 9, 2011 at 4:03 pm

what’s the sooooong?

ADRENALINE567 September 9, 2011 at 4:17 pm

@DaTechGuru yup i got it all set up…. ::) thank you

DaTechGuru September 9, 2011 at 5:02 pm

@ADRENALINE567 Sure =)

2 methods, lets start with the easiest one.

1.) Get an amp that can power a sub, no wire work here just standard speaker wires. :P

2.) Use an AV/ Reciever or anything that can have a crossover set, you need to send 1RCA cable from the sub out to the front right channel of a second amp, you will then use the right channel of that amp to power a sub.

The way I set my setup as is much more difficult because I needed to find ways to connect the 3 10s and the 4 8s =)

ADRENALINE567 September 9, 2011 at 5:39 pm

can u explain how u did that fancy wire work for the sub pls?

1995mustang1 September 9, 2011 at 5:55 pm

How many noise complaints have you gotten so far? LOL

DaTechGuru September 9, 2011 at 6:03 pm

@sharp69antifa

Ok, you can’t get more wattage out of the channel, that is all it can deliver, not sure what else your asking… =)

sharp69antifa September 9, 2011 at 6:14 pm

I have 5.1 surround sound and it has a subwoofer output at 250 watts and I need more wattage out of that channel. It is a positive/negative connection just like all the other speakers. Could I run it through an amp somehow even though it already has 250 watts?

DaTechGuru September 9, 2011 at 6:18 pm

@323blackberry The Kicker was able to work only when wired in 8ohm, and it got enough power from the built-in amp. As for the song, damn nice song… I don’t remember its name lol

323blackberry September 9, 2011 at 7:09 pm

KylesFavoriteJams September 9, 2011 at 7:32 pm

What’s the max RMS on your reciever.

sonordrummer100 September 9, 2011 at 8:06 pm

Song name plz

MrWafflesMonster September 9, 2011 at 8:52 pm

Wow you’ve just inspired me to get off my lazy ass and buy a receiver for my 12″ Fusion Reactor. I’ve already got a small 8″ Scandyna home theatre sub, good clarity with one of those but it lacks the punch that logitech subs have (and car subs have pretty much as standard).
I have a question, however; If my sub is rated at 250W RMS then would it do it any harm to run it with only, say 150W RMS, or should I shop around for an amp/receiver than can provide the rated power?

RSyemi14 September 9, 2011 at 9:04 pm

lolz i wish i was his neighbour

frankth3frizz September 9, 2011 at 9:20 pm

calvinchoe100 September 9, 2011 at 11:49 pm

cant yu like just plug the subwoofer single into a input on the stereo amp. for eg. run a cable from subwoofer preout to the CD input on the amp

RWL2011 September 10, 2011 at 12:30 am

hah, those round vents at the end look very similar to the grille/baffle of an old type of shop ceiling speaker here in the UK. nice subs man! i’m thinking of putting an 8″ 2010 comp in my z-2300 but we only have the 4-ohm models. do you reckon the z-2300 amp will handle it? my last “8-ohm” amp handled my 2007 8″ 4-ohm comp.
